On December 17, 2024, the annual meeting of China Chemical Fiber Industry Association Polyester Filament Branch and the innovation and development forum of polyester industry chain were successfully held in Suzhou. Wang Huaping pointed out that in terms of greening, enterprises should focus on the following five paths: green manufacturing, carbon dioxide based, and bio based raw materials in terms of green raw materials; The green aspect of preparation focuses on direct spinning of fiber melt and efficient short process manufacturing process; In terms of green processing, it focuses on processing technologies such as stock solution dyeing, self crimping fiber, atmospheric pressure dyeing, etc; In terms of product green, attention can be paid to low energy consumption products such as temperature sensitive fiber, easy care/processing, and color change response; The whole process regeneration technology of "waste" and "old" textiles. Xu Jinlong, R&D director of National Advanced Functional Fiber Innovation Center, introduced the technology and equipment of melt electrospinning filament. Electrospinning is a method of obtaining nano fibers by jet drawing of polymer solution or melt under electrostatic action. Melt electrospinning has low toxicity, no solvent volatilization and residue, high spinning efficiency, and can be 100% converted into fiber; The spinnability of melt electrospun materials is shown in the fact that there are many heads (jets), stable tow, no broken wires or floating wires. The main factors affecting the spinnability of the materials themselves are the dielectric constant and surface tension of the materials. The spinnability is also greatly affected by the spinneret structure of the equipment. The key point of melt electrospinning for filament preparation lies in the cluster drafting before the filament head enters the unstable period. The first melt electrospinning filament/yarn device jointly developed by the National Advanced Functional Fiber Innovation Center and the British Blue Laboratory of Beijing University of Chemical Technology is the first to realize the stable and continuous preparation of melt differential electrospinning yarn, which is widely applicable to PET, PA, PP, PPS, PLA and PBAT.
Yao Xinxin, Deputy Manager of Fabric Design Department of Jiangsu Hengtian Enterprise Development Co., Ltd., introduced the application of functional polyester in the field of circular weft knitting. Hengnuo Textile Technology under Hengtian adheres to the research, development, production and sales of functional weft knitted fabrics. Hengtian fabric products are mainly divided into three categories, Heng Technology, Heng Green and Heng Fashion. Among them, functional polyester supports 60% of Heng Technology products. Yao Xinxin said that polyester fiber has obvious advantages such as good wrinkle resistance, wear resistance, manufacturing resistance, high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance and fast drying. With the progress of science and technology, polyester fiber can also be improved by certain technical treatment, such as 3M moisture absorption technology, which has been criticized in the past for its poor moisture absorption and poor air permeability, to achieve good moisture absorption and air permeability effect and improve the use comfort. Yao Xinxin introduced the company's product development around the three dimensions of fashion, science and technology, and green, and proposed the bottlenecks that need to be broken in the current application of polyester functionality, including contact cooling, continuous cooling, moisture absorption and heating, which provided ideas for chemical fiber enterprise product development.
Xu Jinyun, the center director of Tianjin University of Technology Textile Additives Co., Ltd., made a report titled "Development Status and Trend of Polyester Filament Finish Additives". Focusing on the performance requirements of FDY/POY/DTY finishes, he introduced the variety adaptability, process adaptability, washability, green environmental protection, safety and other details and precautions for use. At present, DTY finishes are basically localized; The performance of the main monomer of FDY finishes has made rapid progress and can basically meet the downstream demand; The comprehensive properties of POY finish spinning and texturing basically meet the process requirements, the adaptability of conventional hot box is good, and there is still room for progress in the high-temperature short hot box; Industrial silk finishes basically rely on imports. For the future development of polyester filament finish additives, Xu Jinyun suggested that we should strengthen research and development investment, pay attention to monomer development and chemical fiber finish talent training, build an oil agent and chemical fiber linkage platform through the Chemical Fiber Association, and build a communication platform for chemical raw materials and oil agent through the Petrochemical Federation, promote the construction of oil agent technical standards, improve product quality, and avoid disorderly competition.
