2008 Italy Milan International Fabric Exhibition (INTERTEXMILANO).

Scope of exhibits:

Women's wear, men's wear, children's wear fabrics, casual wear, sportswear, underwear fabrics, embroidery, lace fabrics, knitted and woven fabrics, clothing accessories, yarn, clothing and so on.

Exhibits:

The exhibition began in September 2001. It was held two times a year and was held at the same time as the famous Italy fabric exhibition MODAIN (only open to European exhibitors). It is the only textile trade exhibition in Italy exclusively for textile suppliers outside the EU.

In February 2005, the seventh INTERTEXMILANO attracted 200 exhibitors from 25 countries, including China, India, Bangladesh, Turkey, Taiwan, South Korea, Pakistan, Russia, Romania and other countries and regions.

The number of visitors to the business was 3988, an increase of eighteen percent over the same period last year.

Among them, 2780 merchants in Italy increased by seventeen percent, and 1208 international buyers increased by twenty percent, from 75 countries, including Greece, France and other European countries, Tunisia, Morocco, Turkey and so on.

Merchants came from the garment industry and Knitting Manufacturers (Thirty-three percent), importers / general agents (five percent), regional agents (ten percent), textile manufacturers (twelve percent), designers (ten percent), wholesalers (nine percent), retailers (nine percent), etc.

The favored fabrics include soybean fiber fabric, bamboo fiber fabric, embroidered silk fabric, linen fabric, cotton fabric for shirts and so on.

In February 2004, INTERTEX MILANO and the third READY TO SHOW fashion show were held in the same period, and achieved greater results.

The exhibition is held two times a year and has been held for 57 sessions.

At the May exhibition, 2005/06 autumn winter and spring and summer costumes in 2006 were displayed. In November, the costumes in 2006, spring and summer, and 2006/07 autumn and winter show.

The exhibits include knitted men's wear, women's wear, children's wear and other clothing and accessories.

In June 2005, about 200 exhibitors and 4000 businessmen attended the exhibition.

Among visitors, Italy accounted for forty-six percent and fifty-four percent of them were international buyers from 45 countries and regions.

Buyers from Germany, Spain, Portugal and Greece have increased substantially.

Japanese buyers are still active participants in the exhibition, accounting for eleven percent of the total number of international customers.

Merchants include operators of chain stores and department stores, importers, purchasing groups, mail order stores and so on.
