Retail Sales Of Clothing Rose In Hongkong Last Year
Compared with two seven, the value of total retail sales in Hongkong increased by 10.5% in two and eight, while the total sales volume increased by 5%.
According to the main categories of stores, the sales volume of electrical appliances and photographic equipment increased the largest in the year of two and eight, compared with two seven, and increased by 16.4%. Followed by fuel (retail sales increased by 9.1%), clothing (increased by 8.2%), furniture and fixtures (up 7.6%), miscellaneous consumer goods (up 6.4%), department store products (up 5.3%), footwear, related products and other clothing accessories (up 4.4%), miscellaneous durable consumer goods (up 3.5%), supermarket goods (up 1.1%), and automotive and automotive parts (up 1.1%).
On the other hand, compared with the whole year of two seven, the sales volume of food, alcoholic beverages and tobacco decreased by 1.4% (but the retail volume of alcoholic beverages and tobacco in this group increased by 15.9%) over the year of two and eight.
