European Footwear Industry Demands To Extend Anti-Dumping Duties On Leather Shoes In China And Vietnam

 

On May 31st, the European footwear Federation was held in Ascoli Marche, Italy. The European footwear industry asked the European Union to extend anti-dumping measures against leather shoes made in China and Vietnam in May 31st.

The measure will expire in October 7th this year.

According to the report, measures to impose anti-dumping duties have played a role in controlling the import of leather shoes in China and Vietnam. Data from the first 10 months of 2007 show that the number of leather shoes imported from China and Vietnam has decreased by 17.6% and 9.7% respectively, of which Italy has decreased by 15.3% and 12.6% respectively.
