At present, researchers at India Adyar central Leather Research Institute have invented a new leather tanning process, which greatly enhanced the ecological friendliness of tanning process.

Researchers found that the order of tanning procedures was adjusted, that is, the use of non chemical based pre tanning methods, which reduced the use of chemicals by 82% and saved nearly 40% of the energy consumption.

At the same time, compared with the traditional tanning method, the new tanning technology did not reduce the quality of leather.
