At present, the wool blended products of soybean protein fiber have formed the scale production capacity, and have obtained very good economic benefits.


The difficulty of bleaching and dyeing soybean protein fiber.

The soybean protein fiber itself appears deeper beige, similar to the color of tussah silk, which is difficult to remove by conventional means. The soybean protein fiber without bleaching can not be used for the bright and bright products; the soybean protein fiber components contain polymers such as plant white matter and polyvinyl alcohol, whose physical and chemical properties are different from natural protein fiber and ordinary chemical fiber. This special property determines that it is difficult to dye it deep and thick. The soybean protein fiber blended with wool and other fibers can hardly achieve the same color effect in dyeing process.

In view of the above dyeing and dyeing difficulties of soybean protein fiber, we have determined the use of fiber stripe dyeing according to the characteristics of wool spinning plant, so that it is easy to dye the same color of other fibers blended with it.

The bleaching process was carried out in N6 dye vat with fiber rods, and different bleaching processes were quite different.

We have experimented with oxidation bleaching, reducing bleaching, oxidizing reduction two bath two steps and oxidizing reduction one bath two step method.

Single oxidation bleaching or reductive bleaching can not achieve a better bleaching effect. Oxidation reduction one bath two step process is relatively new with good whiteness and environmental protection purposes, but the condition control is strict, especially the pH value.

It is reported that the amino acid content of vegetable protein in soybean protein fiber is close to that of silk, so the dyeing effect of wool with reactive dyes is very unsatisfactory.

However, dyeing soybean protein fiber with either acid medium or reactive dyestuff can not meet the requirement of deep color dyeing.

For this reason, we adopted the above two dyes to conduct two bath dyeing, and obtained the products with very deep and strong color, and had excellent color fastness.

It can be used in wool blended products in batches and has better economic benefits.

The bleaching of soybean protein fiber is best by oxidation and reduction bleaching. Under suitable conditions, the whiteness of bleaching process is not inferior to that of wool fiber, and the fiber damage is not too great.

The dyeing and dyeing process is optimized by using acid dyes and Bi reactive dyes.

If you want to get a deep color, use two dyes in two bath two steps.

In the bleaching and dyeing process of soybean protein fiber, the operation requirements are high.

If the charging ball is required, there should be no liquid flow short circuit in the dyeing process; the control of various process parameters should be in place, otherwise it will cause color difference or color flowers.
