Vietnam shoe industry has developed rapidly in recent years, and has become one of the global footwear manufacturing centers.

In 2007, Vietnam exported nearly 503 million pairs of footwear products, with a total value of US $399 million 300 thousand, with an average price of US $7.94 / double.

The average unit price of Vietnamese exported shoes is much higher than that of Chinese export shoes, which is only 4-5 US dollars / double.

Higher average unit price and fast growing demand will inevitably affect the consumption of polyurethane soles.

It is estimated that Vietnam's demand for polyurethane soles will reach 20 thousand tons in 2008, though it is nothing compared to the 200 thousand ton figure in China, but its booming market should be given enough attention.
