According to the French radio international, Chardale, Secretary of state for Industry and consumer affairs, announced on 6 March that the Chinese made chairs and shoes containing two methyl formamide will be imported from France next week.

It is reported that between March 2006 and June this year, 47 thousand furniture, armchairs and other furniture made in China entered the French market.

French furniture supplier Conforama has stopped selling Chinese furniture since July of this year, and sent a letter to inform the return.

In addition, Etam, a French chain clothing store, also recovered 1000 pairs of shoes made in China in November this year.

Earlier, the Guangzhou daily had interviewed French consumers about the toxic effects of Chinese furniture. It was reported that the domestic test results showed that it was not a quality problem of chairs or couches, and that the export furniture production standards were formulated according to the requirements of the European Union.
