U.S.A

The US textile agreement Executive Committee announced that after January 1, 2009, the electronic visa reporting system for textiles and textile products in People's Republic of China (ELVIS) was cancelled.

Action: issued instructions to the director of customs and border protection to withdraw the early ELVIS directive on China's textiles and textile products.

Effective date: January 1, 2009.

For further information, please contact Ross Arnold, an international trade expert in textile and clothing office of the US Department of Commerce.

Since January 1, 2009, it has instructed to revoke the ELVIS report on China's exports.

Before January 1, 2009, even before entering the 2009, China's export products still need to provide ELVIS reports and quota reports, which is consistent with the contents of bilateral agreements signed by the US and People's Republic of China governments in November 8, 2005.
