Sri Lanka

Baigou City, Hebei, is known as the "capital of luggage and suitcase". It is regarded as the center of China's leather industry, especially leather bags and wallets, but not footwear industry.

At present, the Sri Lankan government is trying to attract foreign investment.

Sri Lanka ambassador to China launched a plan in Baigou to promote the leather industry in Sri Lanka.

One of the tempting conditions provided by the Pakistan government is the EU's GSP+ arrangement. The EU GSP + arrangement allows the products of Sri Lanka to enter the EU countries with zero tariff.

At the same time, the EU also imposed a 19.4% anti-dumping duty on Chinese products.

The government of Sri Lanka also announced that it would allow imports of machinery and raw materials for the production of leather products with zero tariff.

In addition, Sri Lanka has signed free trade agreements with two neighboring markets, namely India and Pakistan.
