The R & D center's innovative textile recycling technology has won many international awards earlier.

On the 3 day, with the unveiling of two facilities of Longda textile company's environmental protection cotton mill and Nanfeng cotton mill G2G (clothing recycling and recycling system), the technology was officially implemented in Hongkong.

Lin Zhengyuee, chief executive, attended the opening ceremony of the environmental protection cotton mill of Longda textile company and delivered a speech. He pointed out that the HKSAR government is committed to creating favorable conditions for "re industrialization". Through providing suitable infrastructure, financial and technical support, and training and gathering talents, the HKSAR government will help the industry make good use of innovation and technology, and widely use intelligent technology and production procedures to carry out high value-added production.

As one of the largest spinning manufacturers in the world, Longda set up an environmental protection production line in Hongkong, which is a great encouragement to Hongkong's combination of "government, production, learning, research and application" and Hongkong's "re industrialization".

She also said that the development of Hongkong, Hong Kong and Macau will provide an opportunity for better integration of the national development situation. There are also lots of land resources and talents in the region, which will bring unlimited opportunities to different sectors in Hongkong.

It is hoped that Hongkong can make good use of its own advantages in research and development and "Hongkong made" brand, promote "re industrialization", grasp the opportunities for national development, and bring Hongkong's industrial development back to the peak.

According to the briefing, the environmental protection cotton mill of Longda textile company is the first environmental protection cotton mill in Hongkong. It will set up 3 production lines. Each production line can produce 1 tons of recycled fiber per day with waste textiles, and produce textiles such as yarns, fabrics and garments. It will be fully put into operation in October this year.

The G2G retail store of Nanfeng cotton mill can recycle old clothes to create new textiles.

The public can take the old clothes to the retail shop to experience the cycle of clothing, choose the style, and then bring the new clothes home.

Yang Weixiong, director of the Bureau of innovation and technology of the Special Administrative Region, also attended the press conference of Hongkong textile and garment research and development center on the same day. He also said that the innovative textile recycling technology was successfully pferred to the industry, creating a "closed loop" production system for waste textiles and laying an important milestone on the road of sustainable development of the textile industry.

He encouraged the industry to adopt these recycling technology, grasp the trend and strive for business opportunities, and also make a contribution to the environmental protection.
