2024 Shaanxi Fashion Design Competition Held In Xi'An

On November 18, 2024 Shaanxi Fashion Design Competition was held in Xi'an. Li Xiaoying, Deputy Director of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Congress and Chief of the Provincial Textile and Clothing Industry Chain, attended the event and delivered a speech.

Li Xiaoying pointed out in her speech that with the acceleration of globalization and the in-depth implementation of the "Belt and Road" initiative, Shaanxi's textile industry has ushered in new development opportunities. We should not only provide high-quality textile products to the world, but also highlight the unique cultural symbols and connotation of Shaanxi, and combine "Made in Shaanxi" with "Cultural Confidence". We should deepen the collaborative innovation of the industrial chain and promote the high-end development of the textile industry; Strengthen talent training and focus on the integration of design innovation and cultural heritage; Create a national fashion brand with Shaanxi characteristics.

The competition was hosted by the Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology and the China Fashion Designers Association. With the theme of "new national style, new silk road, new technology", it solicited contributions from home and abroad, and received 1066 works. Famous domestic experts, scholars, and designers were invited to act as judges at the competition, and 25 groups of award-winning works were selected, including gold, silver, bronze awards, individual awards, and excellent awards. The competition organizing committee signed an incubation support plan with the winners. During the competition, several press conferences, such as the joint release of Yulin cashmere brand, and several forums, such as the high-quality development forum of Shaanxi garment industry, were held successively.
