The textile, footwear and clothing industry occupies an important position in Fujian's industrial system, ranking the third in the country in terms of industrial scale, showing the characteristics of large scale, complete chain and strong leadership. It has formed a complete industrial chain of "front-end chemical raw materials, upstream chemical fiber manufacturing, mid end spinning, weaving and dyeing, downstream footwear and clothing products, supporting textile machinery, etc.", and built a complete industrial chain from "a drop of oil to a piece of clothing, a pair of shoes" A collaborative supporting system. In recent years, the Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology has selected a group of professionals with strong business capabilities and sufficient industry experience to form a textile shoes and clothing expert group to better provide strong support for industrial development. In 2024, the textile footwear and clothing industry will maintain a steady development trend. From January to November, the industrial added value of the textile footwear and clothing industry in the province will increase by 7.5%, 0.8 percentage points higher than that of the industry above the provincial scale; The output of chemical fiber, clothing and shoes increased by 12.3%, 7.8% and 4.7% respectively.

On the spot, the person in charge of the Consumer Goods Department of the Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology introduced the development of the textile, clothing and shoes industry. Focusing on forging the long board, reinforcing the weak board and strengthening the weak, the experts had in-depth exchanges and spoke enthusiastically from various aspects, such as cultivating new quality productivity, industrial intelligent transformation, tackling key technical problems, improving public platforms, optimizing the layout of production capacity, actively providing advice and suggestions for the development of the textile, footwear and clothing industry, and discussing the key directions of industrial work in 2025.
